LONDON MARATHON 2018
It starts here....
After a pretty poor showing at the London Marathon in 2017 the focus is to keep running consistently all year.
Despite my best intentions, last year, after taking 6 months off, the return to running was a very slow process. After about 3-4 weeks I developed a calf pain when running even though I came back to running gradually. This took me out of running for about 3 weeks but then Christmas came around and before I knew it, I was 16 weeks out from the marathon with no real form.
The strength and conditioning preparation I had planned fell by the wayside, the sprint and interval sessions didn't quite materialise and life generally got in the way!
The plan is to keep the running ticking over and just enjoy it. Trying to get out 3 times a week whilst maintaining strength work in the gym. So far so good.
